IMCCM is looking for blog contributors! We are developing a pool of resources to help musicians flourish, and want your advice!

What we are looking for:

  • Advice and information on the music industry

  • Resources (books, websites, blogs, vlogs) for professional development

  • Deep reflections (funny or serious) of music as a career

  • History of Music in Central Minnesota

  • Lessons Learned in Music Career

We encourage you to self promote, but only as part of the contributors page. The blog purpose is to go wide of your own experience for others to connect and apply lessons learned to their own music career.  We also encourage hyperlinks to anything you reference, videos, images, and more.

IMCCM Board of Directors

We are always looking for people to join our board of directors, but vote in new members at our October Meeting. We ask that potential board members join us for either a board meeting prior to voting in,  especially the September Annual Retreat, where we dive deep into ideas and strategy, and you’ll get a good idea of what we are all about!

Qualifications

  • Interest in Music & Community!

  • Legal, Financial, nonprofit management, community engagement experience, marketing

  • Monthly meetings (video), 4 in person meetings quarterly

  • Volunteering necessary, but bring your gifts and talents!


 

Open Mic: Local Blend

Longest running open mic in Central Minnesota every Tuesday from 7-10 p.m. at the Local Blend. Hosted by Adam Hammer and Dave Cofell. Welcome to all musicians, poets, comedians and other performers of all skill levels. Sign up for you 15 minutes in person or call ahead after 2 p.m. the day of to reserve limited select spots. Come to perform or come to join the wonderful arts community atmosphere! All are welcome.

Open Mic: Great River Arts

Are you itching to get on stage and sing your heart out? Can you play a mean harmonica? Have you been working on a new dance routine? Do you have a knack for storytelling or spoken word? 

Take the stage for your 15 minutes of fame at Great River Art's monthly Open Mic Night! All performing arts are welcome and performers may take up to 15 mintues of stage time. 

Not interested in performing, but want to enjoy a night out?
Come out to support our local performing artists! As always, a cash bar will be open to keep you hydrated all evening long.
